KUPWARA, JULY 22 : The Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan( IAS)Saturday chaired a meeting of members of SDLC (Sub Divisional Level Committee) and DLC (District Level Committee) to discuss various issues related to progress/disposal of claims under Forest Rights Act. The DFO Kamraj, Zahid Mougal who is Nodal officer FRA informed that 538 individual claims and 140 Community claims have been received and are under process at SDLC or FRC level. Pulwama attack: Casual labour of Forest deptt succumbs

Srinagar, Jul 19: A causal labourer, who along with a Forester was shot at by terrorists, succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday, officials said. An official told the news agency— that a casual labourer identified as Imran Yousuf Wani of Charar-e-Sharief succumbed to his injuries at SMHS hospital. Imran had a bullet injury in thigh and was undergoing treatment at SMHS hospital, police earlier said in a statement issued to KNO.
