Viksit Bharat Yatra Kickstarts in Kupwara District with Mega event at Kuligam Lolab

Kupwara, November 21 : The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) was kickstarted on Tuesday from Kuligam village of Block Wavoora (Lolab) in Kupwara district with a massive participation of people of different areas of Lolab. The District Prabhari Officer to Kupwara district, Rajeev Kumar Tiwari (IFoS) launched the event in presence of the Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Ms.Ayushi Sudan and Vice Chairman, District Development Council Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir.Besides, BDC Chairman, Choudhary Rafiq Kataria , District Officers, Sectoral Officers, field functionaries, PRIs, beneficiaries of different centrally sponsored schemes and a huge gathering of people, including men and women participated in the event.The event begun with a pledge to build a Viksit Bharat by 2047, followed by screening of video message of Hon’ble PM.While addressing to the participants, District Prabhari Officer, Rajeev Kumar Tiwari said that It has been the constant endeavor of the Prime Minister to attain saturation of flagship schemes of the government by ensuring that the benefits of these schemes reach all targeted beneficiaries in a time-bound manner. In a major step towards the attainment of this aim of saturation of schemes, the Prime Minister launched ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ on the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.Tiwari said that CSSs are implemented to achieve social objective like poverty reduction, improving helath services, increasing food security, better avenues for healthcare and livelihood. He impressed that empowerment of women make them financially independant when they are able to generate income by benefiting from these schemes.District Prabhari Officer, congratulated district adminstration Kupwara led by DC Kupwara Ms.Ayushi Sudan for resounding success of the program and reaching out to people on grass root level. Earlier, the Deputy Commisioner Kupwara, Ms.Ayushi Sudan, while welcoming the District Prabhari Officer and other participants, said that the focus of the Yatra is to reach out to the people, creating awareness and providing benefits of welfare schemes.Ayushi Sudan said that one of the major feature of this yatra is to disseminate information and collect feedback about the schemes. DC informed that all the schemes will be covered during the awareness campaign.DC asked the people to take inspiration from the success stories and get themselves enrolled for different CSSs.She directed to officers and filed functionaries to reach out to the deserving beneficiaries on their door steps.She also urged people to participate in such programmes and take benefit of them.The Vice Chairman, District Development Council Kupwara, Haji Farooq Mir highlighted the significant contribution of tribal brothers to the freedom struggle. VC said that Presently, under the chair of DC Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, Kupwara district is progressing to remarkable heights of development across all sectors. This progress has extended to the tribal and far-off areas of the district.He added that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has been organized to ensure that government schemes reach the people’s doorsteps, contributing to the transformation of India into a developed nation.He complimented government for bringing about transparency in the state and creating an environment of peace and security which is a prerequisite for developmental initiatives.Chairman, BDC Wavoora Choudhary Rafiq Kataria also spoke on the occasion. Earlier in, ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani’ segment, the beneficiaries of government sponsored schemes presented their success stories and shared their experiences about the benefits they availed. Sanction letters under different CSSs and appreciation certificate were distributed on the occasion. A series of cultural programs were also presented by students to display the traditional culture of the area.Among others, ADDC Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan, PO ICDS, Hakeem Tanveer, ACD Kupwara, Hilal Ahmad Mir, SDM Lolab, Ijaz Ahmad Bhat, CEO Kupwara, Abdul Hamid Fani, DIO Kupwara, Iftikhar Naseem, besides other senior district and sectoral officers were also present on the occasion.
