SSP Traffic Jammu holds interactive Session

June 10, 2025: SSP Traffic City Jammu, Sh. Farooq Qaiser, JKPS held an interactive session with media interns from Women’s College, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu. Organized by the Institute of Mass Communication and Skill Development (IMCSD), the discussion centred on crucial aspects of road safety and civic responsibility.

The session delved into several vital areas, including adherence to traffic rules, road safety guidelines, co-responsibility and joint accountability of all citizens in fostering safer roads.

The officer highlighted the proactive initiatives of the Traffic Police City Jammu specifically mentioning the various drives and awareness programs conducted across the city to educate the public. He underscored the significant role that upcoming journalists can play in disseminating information about traffic rules, which is crucial for minimizing accidents and road mishaps. Emphasizing the media’s powerful position as the “fourth pillar of good governance,” he stressed its immense responsibility to keep society informed.

The interns on their part expressed gratitude to SSP Traffic for his valuable insights. They pledged to responsibly and effectively contribute to promoting road safety awareness.

The interns were accompanied by Shri Vicky Verma, Journalist and Executive Member of IMCSD.
