Handwara, Dec 12:
A Piping Ceremony was held today at the District Police Headquarters Handwara for the promotion of Insp Showkat Ahmad, presently serving as SHO Police Station Handwara, to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police and 09 Head Constables to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspectors .The ceremony was presided over by SSP Handwara, Shri Mushtaq Ahmad Choudhary-JKPS.
The event witnessed the presence of several officers, including Zaffer Iqbal Nawaz-JKPS, Additional SP Handwara, Dr Majid Magray-JKPS, DySP DAR Handwara, and Omar Rashid-JKPS, DySP OPS Handwara, alongside other senior officers of the District Police.
On the occasion, SSP Handwara congratulated the promoted officers and advised them to remain committed towards their duties and ensure better public service .
During the colourful ceremony, all the newly promoted officers expressed their gratitude towards police department for conferring their next ranks and timely up gradation. They also pledged to work with same zeal and enthusiasm.
