Kupwara Police Organizes Volleyball Tournament 2025 Under Civic Action Programme

Kupwara : As part of the Civic Action Programme, Kupwara Police today organized a Volleyball Tournament at District Police Lines, Kupwara. The tournament features eight teams representing different areas from all seven police stations across the district.

The event was inaugurated by ASP Kupwara, Mr. G.M. Bhat, who was accompanied by DySP DAR, Mr. Gulzar Rashid Magray, along with other senior officers of the district. The inaugural match was played between Kupwara Volley Ball club and Khumriyal volley Ball club.
The initiative aims to foster a spirit of sportsmanship, promote a healthy lifestyle, and engage the youth in positive recreational activities.

To encourage and motivate the participants cash prizes will be awarded to both the winning and runner-up teams . Moreover refreshments will be provided to all participants throughout the tournament.

Speaking on the occasion, ASP Kupwara emphasized the significance of such events in channelizing youth energy towards constructive activities. He highlighted that the primary aim of the tournament is to inspire young individuals to stay away from drugs, adopt a healthier lifestyle, and develop a renewed sense of team spirit and discipline through sports.

Kupwara Police remains committed to engaging with the community and promoting initiatives that contribute to the betterment of society. Events like these not only strengthen the bond between the police and the public but also encourage the youth to explore their potential in sports and other positive endeavors.
