Kupwara : Continuing its efforts to enhance public engagement and address community concerns Kupwara Police conducted an Awareness campaign on New Criminal Laws at Committee Hall, Teetwal.
The Programme was held under the Chairmanship of Gulzar Rashid JKPS, DySP DAR Kupwara. The Programme was also attended by SDM Karnah, Tehsildar Karnah, BDP Block Tanghdar/Teetwal, SHO PS Karnah, Naib Tehsildar Tanghdar and some other Govt employees. The event saw an active participation including Women, Youth and Civil society members.
It was elaborated there that the new criminal laws address issues like terrorism, sedition, and mob lynching, and ensure that the system is just, humane, and future-ready, safeguarding citizens’ rights.
The locals appreciated the initiative and lauded the efforts of Police and Civil departments to strengthening new law enforcement mechanisms. It was concluded with a collective commitment to fostering a safer and crime-free society.
