Kupwara Police Organises ‘Run for Unity’ & Memorial Lectures to Mark 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

Kupwara : As part of the Civic Action Programme, Kupwara Police today organised a series of events across the district to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, popularly known as the “Iron Man of India.”

At Govt. Boys High School Khawarpara, Karnah, a “Run for Unity” was organised in which students and youth actively participated. The event aimed to spread awareness among participants about law and order, national security, public awareness and the importance of discipline and collective responsibility. The programme also focused on enhancing police–public relations and highlighting the professionalism and capabilities of police personnel.

Similarly, Police Station Trehgam also organised a “Run for Unity” with the same objective of paying tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and spreading the message of unity, national security, and discipline among the youth.

At High School Wani Dorsa, PS Sogam organised a special memorial lecture in tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The lecture highlighted his role in nation-building and underscored the need for awareness about law and order and national security among the youth.

In another programme, PS Kupwara in collaboration with PP Bazar organised a memorial lecture at Govt. Higher Secondary School Kupwara. The lecture focused on Patel’s vision of unity, his unmatched contribution towards national integration, and the responsibilities of citizens in maintaining peace, harmony, and security.

These events received enthusiastic participation from students, teachers and locals and concluded with a collective tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, reaffirming his ideals of unity, discipline and national integration.
