Kupwara, Oct 18 : As part of the Civic Action Programme initiated by the Jammu & Kashmir Police, Kupwara and Handwara Police have organized a Bharat Darshan Tour for a group of 67 students from the districts of Kupwara and Handwara, accompanied by 05 caretakers.
This week-long educational tour, covering major cities and historical sites, is fully sponsored by the J&K Police, which is providing all travel, accommodation, and meal arrangements, including air travel.
The flag-off ceremony took place at District Police Lines (DPL) Kupwara and was led by SSP Kupwara, Shri Ghulam Jeelani-JKPS, and SSP Handwara, Shri Ifroz Ahmad-JKPS.
The event was attended by senior officers, including Additional SP Kupwara, Ghulam Mohd Bhat-JKPS, Raies Ahmad-JKPS ,DySP PC Lolab, Syed Mujahid-ul-Haq-JKPS, DySP DAR Kupwara, along with other officers from both districts.
In his address to the students, SSP Kupwara highlighted the significance of the Bharat Darshan Tour in broadening the students’ understanding of India’s rich cultural diversity.
He encouraged them to use this opportunity to deepen their knowledge by exploring the historical landmarks and cultural marvels of the country.
He emphasized that this initiative reflects the J&K Police’s commitment to offering students unique learning experiences and wished them a safe and enriching journey.During the tour, the students will visit prominent cities of Delhi and Kolkata, and explore their historical monuments and cultural sites.
To ensure their comfort, the students have been provided with a complete kit, including a customized tracksuit, shoes, socks, caps, and a carry bag.
A dedicated guide will accompany the group, offering insights into the significance of each location, making the trip both educational and enjoyable.Both parents and students expressed their gratitude to the J&K Police for organizing this initiative, recognizing the invaluable opportunity it offers to the youth of Kupwara and Handwara.
