Kupwara, March 18: As part of the #EkPedMaaKeNaam campaign, a tree plantation drive was successfully conducted in the border villages of Tithwal and Simari, promoting environmental awareness and responsibility among the younger generation. Over 300 enthusiastic schoolchildren actively participated, planting saplings with great zeal and commitment to a greener future.
The event was graced by the Deputy Commander of Shakti Vijay Brigade, Mr. K Alam (Forest Ranger, Tangdhar), Mr. A M Mir (SHO, Tithwal), and esteemed community leaders. Their presence and words of encouragement served as an inspiration for the young participants, reinforcing the significance of environmental preservation.
Through this initiative, the Indian Army reaffirmed its dedication to environmental protection while fostering a sense of responsibility among students.
