Handwara, January 10, 2025: Continuing its relentless drive against the menace of drugs, Handwara Police have arrested Two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
Police Handwara established a Naka at Champora Crossing and intercepted Two persons identified as Mohammed Gulzar Mir son of Gh Mohi ud din Mir resident of Amargarh Sharkoot and Faisal Ahmed Mir son of Ghulam Ahmad Mir resident of Manzgam. During their personal search, 62 grams of contraband Charas-like substances has been recovered from their possession. Accordingly both have been arrested and shifted to police station Villgam for further investigation.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police station Villgam and investigation has been initiated in the instant matter.
Handwara Police urges the public to cooperate in the fight against drug abuse. Any suspicious activities related to drugs or other crimes can be reported to the nearest police station or by dialing 112.
