Dagger Division GOC Interacts with Special Students in Baramulla, Encourages Them and shares special moments

Baramulla, September 12, 2026: In a heartwarming celebration of courage, talent and determination, the General Officer Commanding (GOC), Dagger Division, visited a school for visually and hearing-impaired students in Baramulla and interacted with the students.

The visit came alive with a vibrant cultural programme presented by the students, featuring patriotic and traditional songs and a solo dance performance. Displaying remarkable confidence, enthusiasm and talent, the young performers captivated the gathering and showcased a spirit that rose above every challenge.Impressed by their performances, the GOC appreciated the students for their confidence, creativity and determination.

He encouraged them to dream big, pursue their aspirations with confidence and never allow challenges to limit their potential.

The interaction was marked by warmth and enthusiasm, with the students engaging openly with the GOC and sharing their aspirations. Essential items of daily use were also handed over to the school to support the students in their day-to-day requirements.The GOC also toured the school premises and interacted with the faculty, appreciating their dedicated efforts towards nurturing, educating and empowering children with special needs.

The programme concluded with the National Anthem, bringing together students, teachers and members of the Indian Army in a shared expression of hope and national pride.The visit reaffirmed the Indian Army’s commitment to inclusion, empowerment and opportunity, while highlighting its continued efforts to support children and youth in Jammu and Kashmir and help them realise their aspirations.
