District Police Kupwara Organizes Debate Competition and Band Show as Part of Police Commemoration Day 2024 and Police Flag Day Observance

Kupwara, Oct 29 : As part of the ongoing observance of Police Commemoration Day 2024 and Police Flag Day, District Police Kupwara conducted two programmes today to honour the sacrifices of our brave martyrs and strengthen community engagement.

The first programme was a Debate Competition held at the Auditorium Hall of Govt Higher Secondary School, Kupwara, where students from various schools across the district participated in an interactive debate on the topic “Role of Police in Nation Building.”

The students delivered insightful perspectives on the vital role of police in upholding law and order,promoting unity, and contributing to the overall progress of the nation.

At the conclusion of the event, Syed Mujahid-ul-Haq-JKPS, DySP DAR Kupwara, distributed trophies, cash prizes, and certificates among the winners, while participation certificates were awarded to all participants in recognition of their contributions.

In the second programme of the day, a Band Show was conducted at the Martyrs Memorial, Regipora Chowk by the District Police Band.

The band played a series of patriotic and local folk tunes as a tribute to the martyrs, while entertaining the large crowd that had gathered to witness the performance.

The show was conducted in the presence of Gh Mohd Bhat-JKPS, Addl SP Kupwara, Syed Mujahid-Ul-Haq-JKPS, DySP DAR Kupwara, Insp Ajaz Ahmad, SHO Kupwara, and other officers from District Police.

The District Police Kupwara remains committed to organizing such initiatives to honour our martyrs and nurture the ties between the police and the community.
