Srinagar : Maqsood-ul-Zaman-IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) for North Kashmir Range, Baramulla, convened a vital security review meeting today in Bandipora district. The meeting brought together SSP Bandipora, CO 3rd BN CRPF along with other GOs, SHOs, DOs and Commanding Officers (COs) of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Battalions.
The main agenda of the session was to refine security protocols, coordinate the deployment of forces, and ensure a peaceful and orderly conduct of the upcoming Legislative Assembly elections-2024 in North Kashmir Range.
DIG Shri Maqsood-ul-Zaman-IPS stressed the importance of meticulous planning and inter-agency cooperation to tackle potential challenges and maintain public safety throughout the electoral process.Before the meeting, DIG Maqsood-ul-Zaman, accompanied by other officers from the District Police Headquarters (DPHQ) Bandipora and Range Police Headquarters (RPHQ) Baramulla, paid homage to fallen heroes by laying wreaths at the District Police Lines (DPL) Bandipora.
They also visited the home of SgCt. Riyaz Ahmad at Muslim Abad, Kaloosa, Bandipora, who had been honored posthumously for his supreme sacrifice.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to ensuring a secure and smooth electoral environment, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts among all security personnel.
