Crackdown against terror ecosystem continues for second consecutive day across kupwara

Kupwara , November 10: In continuation of the intensified crackdown launched by Police against Over Ground Workers (OGWs), JKNOPs , terror associates, and members linked with banned terrorist organizations, massive search operations were carried out for the second consecutive day across multiple areas of Police District Kupwara.

Acting on credible intelligence inputs, Police—assisted by other security agencies—conducted coordinated cordon and search operations (CASOs) at various locations suspected to be used by OGWs and JKNOPs for sheltering and aiding terrorist elements.

The operation was aimed at disrupting the terror support infrastructure, which includes networks involved in providing logistical, financial, and ideological assistance to active terrorists and their cross-border handlers.

The operations were executed in a well-coordinated manner across different police jurisdictions of the district, focusing on sensitive pockets where the terror ecosystem has previously attempted to establish ground-level influence.
