The programme encourages trainees to explore employment opportunities and establish small scale enterprises, contributing to the financial well-being of their families and communities.During the programme, a presentation by Mission YUVA highlighted various government schemes, benefits and initiatives of the Jammu and Kashmir Government aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, self-employment and livelihood generation.
The trainees were familiarised with available support mechanisms and encouraged to convert their newly acquired skills into sustainable business ventures.
The successful completion of the training programme marks an important step towards bridging the gap between vocational skills and employment opportunities while encouraging self-reliance among the youth, particularly women, in Uri.
The convocation ceremony reaffirmed the Indian Army’s commitment to youth empowerment, women’s upliftment and inclusive development in border areas. Such initiatives also strengthen civil-military relations while creating opportunities for a skilled, confident and economically self-reliant generation.
