Srinagar: 52 RR successfully conducted a village-level cricket tournament ie AMAN AUR AWAM CRICKET PREMIER LEAGUE with enthusiastic participation of 48 teams from far-flung areas falling within the 52 RR Area of Responsibility.
The tournament commenced on 13 Aug 26 and provided a vibrant platform for local youth to showcase their cricketing talent, competitive spirit and sporting enthusiasm.
The tournament witnessed spirited participation from teams representing different villages, bringing together young cricketers from remote and far-flung areas.
The initiative provided an opportunity for budding players to compete in a structured and fair sporting environment while promoting teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship and healthy competition.
A key objective of the tournament was to provide a grassroots platform for identification and nurturing of talented cricketers. The participating teams and players were able to demonstrate their skills and gain valuable match experience, thereby creating a strong pool of local talent.
The tournament also served as an important platform for selection and preparation of teams for the upcoming North Kashmir Premier League, enabling promising players from the area to get an opportunity to progress to a higher level of competitive cricket.
