Kupwara, August 6: To promote the message of cleanliness and civic responsibility, 4 JKAP IR, Wayun, Kupwara, organised a Painting Competition under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on Thursday to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.The programme was held under the chairmanship of Shri Ravinder Pal Singh, JKPS, SSP/Commandant, 4 JKAP IR, Wayun. Around 90 students from four local schools, including Government Middle Schools and an Army Goodwill School, enthusiastically participated in the competition.
The students displayed their artistic talent through paintings based on the themes of cleanliness, hygiene, environmental protection and civic responsibility, conveying the importance of a clean and healthy environment.Addressing the participants, the Commandant highlighted the significance of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and urged the students to adopt cleanliness as a way of life.
He encouraged them to become responsible citizens and actively contribute towards building a cleaner, greener and healthier nation.On the occasion, the Commandant distributed first, second, third and fourth prizes among the winning students.
He also appreciated the dedicated efforts of the teachers from the participating schools, acknowledging their valuable guidance and support in making the event a success.
The programme concluded with the Commandant extending his best wishes to all the participating students for their bright future.
He encouraged them to continue taking part in educational and constructive activities and expressed confidence that they would uphold the values of cleanliness, discipline, environmental awareness and social responsibility in their daily lives.
