Dangiwacha, 04 Oct: A fire incident was reported at the Government Boys Middle School, Dangiwacha, at approximately 1300 hours, causing panic among the local population and posing a serious threat to the school infrastructure.
On receiving information about the incident, personnel of 32 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), along with the Fire & Emergency Services Department, immediately rushed to the spot and launched a coordinated firefighting operation.
The teams worked relentlessly for more than three hours to bring the fire under control.
During the operation, the water supply of the Fire Department’s fire tender was exhausted. Demonstrating commendable initiative and promptness, 32 RR replenished the fire tender’s water supply using Army water bowsers, enabling the firefighting operation to continue without interruption.
After sustained and coordinated efforts, the fire was successfully completely extinguished at approximately 1600 hours.
The timely response and close coordination between 32 RR, the Fire Department and local personnel played a crucial role in preventing the fire from spreading further and averting potentially greater damage to the school property.
The incident once again highlights the swift response, dedication and humanitarian commitment of the Indian Army towards the local community, particularly in times of emergency.
The efforts of 32 RR and the Fire & Emergency Services Department were widely appreciated by the local population.
