Kupwara, November 28, 2024: Thana Divas was successfully conducted today at Police Station Kupwara, Police Station Trehgam, and Police Post Khurhama as part of the ongoing initiative to strengthen police-public relations and address grievances effectively.
At Police Station Kupwara, the event was attended by DySP DAR Kupwara, who interacted with the participants. Community members from various areas shared their issues and suggestions. Immediate solutions were provided for many grievances, and actionable points were noted for further resolution.
Thana Divas at Police Station Trehgam witnessed active public participation. Sh Gh Mohd Bhat-JKPS Addl SP Kupwara engaged with the attendees, ensuring transparency and emphasizing the police’s commitment to public welfare.
At Police Post Khurhama, the event was presided over by Raeis Ahmad-JKPS DySP PC Lolab, who listened attentively to the concerns of the local residents. The grievances raised were acknowledged, and assurances were given to resolve them promptly.
Thana Divas is being conducted time to time across all Police Stations/Police Posts with aim to bridge the gap between the police and the community and provide a platform for citizens to voice their concerns directly.
