Kupwara, 08-11-24 — The “Practical Training Programme on New Laws for Constables” was inaugurated today at District Police Lines, Kupwara. This programme is being conducted in compliance with the directions of the senior leadership in the department to enhance awareness among the constabulary regarding the practical application of newly implemented major laws that is BNS, BNSS, and BSA.
The programme features lectures delivered by law students from various colleges and universities, as well as practicing advocates with knowledge of the new laws and their on-ground implementation. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between theoretical understanding and practical enforcement, ensuring that police personnel are equipped to handle ground-level challenges effectively.
Advocate Zubair Ahmad delivered the inaugural lecture, providing valuable insights into the new laws. He was followed by Talib Hussain, an LLM student specializing in Criminal Law from the Central University of Kashmir, who continued the momentum with an informative session.
The event was attended by Syed Mujahid-ul-Haq-JKPS, DySP DAR Kupwara, who welcomed the trainers and concluded the first day by presenting mementos to the participating trainers in recognition of their valuable contributions. The inaugural day featured interactive discussions, enhancing the practical knowledge and skills of the attendees.
