Kupwara, June 27: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested three drug peddlers in Kupwara and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
A police party of Police Post Bazar Kupwara headed by In-charge Police Post Bazar Kupwara checkpoint established at main market Kupwara, intercepted three persons identified as 1. Ashiq Hussain Sheikh S/O Gh Rasool R/O Lalpora 2. PARVAIZ Ahmad Kataria S/O Raj 3. Arif Ahmad Magray S/O Gh Mohi Din R/O Kandi Dragmullha during search, Charas like substance were recovered from there possession.
All three drug peddlers have been arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody. Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law have been registered against them and further investigation has been initiated.
