Anantnag, October 24, 2024 — The Kashmir Writers Association (KWA) in collaboration Global Skill Development Institute, Sagam organized a youth empowerment event in the Sagam area of Anantnag, focusing on the theme “Together We Grow: Youth Empowerment for a Stronger Tomorrow.”
The event saw active participation from local students and members of the intelligentsia, aiming to foster awareness and encouragement among the youth for their role in shaping the future.
Mariya Noor, the District Head of KWA, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of youth empowerment in the socio-political and economic landscape of Kashmir.
She highlighted how initiatives like these help equip the younger generation with the skills and confidence needed to lead and contribute to the development. Resource person Mehak Jan spoke on the critical role of education and community involvement in empowering young people. She urged the attendees to actively participate in such forums to harness their potential and work collaboratively for societal betterment.
Irshad Ahmad, another key speaker, stressed the significance of literary and intellectual engagement for youth. He pointed out that constructive dialogue and intellectual growth are essential tools for addressing the challenges.
