Kupwara, August 3 : Today the inauguration of the “Kupwara Police Sports Meet for Specially Abled Persons” was held at DPL Ground Kupwara. This event is part of the Civic Action Programme 2024 and aims to promote inclusiveness and recognize the talents of differently-abled individuals in our society.
The sports meet features a series of events, including indoor games such as Carrom, Chess, and Ludo, as well as outdoor games like Badminton and Cricket.
The meet commenced today with competitions in Carrom, Chess, and Ludo. Participants in these competitions were selected from across the district and represent various disabilities.
The inaugural and prize distribution ceremonies saw presence of Amin Bhat (JKPS) – DyPC Kupwara, Syed Mujahid-Ul-Haq (JKPS) – DySP DAR Kupwara, Mohd. Rafee Rather (JKPS) – DySP Hqrs Kupwara, along with other officers and officials of District Police Kupwara.The officers distributed Trophies, cash prizes, and certificates were distributed among the participants.
Additionally, Police Station Trehgam organized a Volleyball Tournament for the local youth under CAP-2024 which was attended by DySP Hqrs Kupwara and Insp Ajaz, SHO PS Trehgam.
