Baramulla, J&K: In keeping with the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, the Dagger Division of the Indian Army organised an Iftar gathering in Baramulla, bringing together members of the local community in an atmosphere of warmth, goodwill and mutual respect.
Major General Manoj Joshi, VSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Dagger Division, attended the event and interacted with members of the local populace. In his remarks, he highlighted the importance of harmony, mutual understanding and collective efforts towards maintaining peace and stability in the region.
The gathering witnessed participation from a cross-section of society, including representatives from the civil administration, religious leaders, prominent citizens and youth from Baramulla town. Members of the minority community were also present, reflecting the inclusive ethos of the valley and the shared traditions that define the spirit of Kashmiriyat.
As the evening prayers concluded and the fast was broken, guests shared traditional Iftar and engaged in meaningful interactions. The occasion provided an opportunity for constructive dialogue and further strengthened the bond of trust and bonhomie between the Army and the Awam.
The event reaffirmed the shared commitment of the community and the Army towards fostering peace, harmony and a prosperous future for the region.
