Kupwara, 15 August : Army Goodwill School Wayne, Kupwara celebrated the 80th Independence Day with immense patriotic fervor and grandeur on 15 Aug 26. The celebration aimed at instilling patriotic values, national pride and constitutional spirit among the youth of Kupwara.The day commenced with the melodious singing of ‘Vande Mataram’_ by students, followed by the Hoisting of the National Tricolour by the Chief Guest.
The NCC contingent of the school presented an immaculate march past and guard of honour.The event unfolded into a vibrant cultural extravaganza featuring patriotic songs, group dances and inspiring speeches by students.
The highlight of the celebration was a Capabilities Demonstration presented by the Army Dog Unit which captivated the audience.A notable moment of the event was the Investiture Ceremony of the newly elected Student Council.
The young leaders were adorned with badges and sashes by their proud parents, symbolizing the passing of responsibility and trust.
The ceremony instilled in them the values of leadership, discipline and service to the school and nation.
In a proud moment Ms. Insha Fatima, an alumna of AGS Wayne who recently cracked the NEET exam was felicitated with the Laptop by the School Management Committee.
The Officer In Charge of School Management Committee lauded her achievement and said she is an inspiration for all students to pursue academic excellence.
The function was witnessed by large gathering of parents and civil & military officials including Mrs. Nutan Suse a renowned academician.
The celebration concluded with an inspiring address by the Chief Guest and a vote of thanks by the School Principal Mr. Tariq Ahmad Tariq. Parents and guests present expressed immense pride and joy witnessing the enthusiasm of the children.
The event successfully reinforced the ideals of the Constitution and strengthened the spirit of unity and patriotism among the youth.
