Kupwara 21, Sept : The District Programme Officer (DPO), Kupwara, visited Machil Valley to review the implementation of POSHAN-related schemes and activities in the area.
During the visit, the DPO took stock of ongoing initiatives and interacted with field functionaries and community members.
The visit focused on assessing the outreach and implementation of POSHAN services, strengthening community participation and ensuring effective delivery of nutrition and child-development services at the grassroots level.As part of POSHAN Maah, the DPO also participated in awareness and community engagement activities.
Key messages relating to nutrition, maternal and child well-being, healthy dietary practices and the importance of collective community action were highlighted.
The DPO appreciated the efforts of frontline workers and other stakeholders working in the challenging and remote terrain of Machil Valley and stressed the need for regular monitoring, effective convergence and timely delivery of services to beneficiaries.
The visit concluded with a call for sustained efforts and active community participation to make POSHAN Maah a meaningful platform for promoting better nutrition and healthy living among children, women and families.
