DIRECTOR (CFA), BSNL BOARD, VISITS BHARATNET PROJECT SITES AND GRAM PANCHAYATS IN SRINAGAR
Srinagar, 05.09.2026: Shri Vivek Banzal, Director (Consumer Fixed Access), BSNL Board, undertook visit to Jammu & Kashmir to review the progress of the Amended BharatNet Project and assess rural broadband connectivity in the UT . Sh. Banzal visited Amended BharatNet Project site Kanihama .
He interacted with the BSNL team responsible to provide FTTH connections in the Gram Pamchayat .
He was accompanied by CGM J&K Mr Kush Kumar , PGM Bharat Net J&K. MG Mufri , Sh Phunchok Dorjey , Sr GM Kashmir and other senior officers of BSNL Kashmir . Sh Banzal also addressed officers of Srinagar Business Area and asked them to keep focus on customer connect , spread the awareness of Home WiFi through FTTH across urban and rural areas .
The visit is expected to give further impetus to BSNL’s efforts towards bridging the digital divide and empowering rural communities through reliable broadband connectivity using Fiber to the Home( FTTH) under the Amended Bharat Net programme.
