Baramulla : In a commendable humanitarian effort, the Indian Army’s 52 RR came to the aid of a bereaved family by recovering a Maruti Eeco vehicle that had plunged nearly 200 meters into a deep gorge at Nilsar Chandoosa following a tragic accident a few days ago.
The accident claimed the life of Ishfaq Bashir Mir, who later succumbed to his injuries at Government Medical College Baramulla.
Responding to the request of the family and local residents, Army personnel carried out the challenging recovery operation in difficult terrain and successfully retrieved the vehicle from the gorge.
Local residents and family members of the deceased expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army for extending timely assistance and helping recover the vehicle despite the hazardous conditions.
