Chak Keegam Bn Organises Medical Camp for Gujjars and Bakarwals at Gagal Village, Lolab
Kupwara, May 21: In a continued effort to support remote and underserved communities, Chak Keegam Bn, in collaboration with Quality Healthcare Hospital, successfully organized a comprehensive medical camp at Gagal village, Lolab today. The initiative was specifically aimed at providing essential healthcare services to members of the Gujjar and Bakarwal communities residing in remote areas.
The medical camp witnessed active participation from local residents, with a large number of men, women, and children benefiting from free medical consultations, diagnostic services, and distribution of medicines. A team of qualified doctors, to include RMO of Chak Keegam Bn and paramedical staff conducted general health check-ups, screened patients for common ailments, and provided specialized advice on preventive healthcare. The team from Quality Healthcare Hospital encompassed General Physician, Dentist, ENT Specialist, Gynecologist, Ophthalmologist, Orthopedics and General Surgeon.
Special attention was given to maternal and child health, nutrition awareness, and seasonal illnesses. The medical team also conducted awareness sessions on menstrual hygiene, sanitation, and disease prevention, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis and regular medical check-ups.
