Karnah, May 19: A warm and interactive meet with the Ex-Servicemen of Karnah was organised today by the Shakti Vijay Brigade under the leadership of the Commander, reaffirming the Indian Army’s enduring bond with its veterans.
The interaction aimed at strengthening ties with Ex-Servicemen and acknowledging their invaluable service, dedication, and sacrifices made in the service of the nation. During the meet, the veterans were encouraged to continue playing an active role in youth mentorship, promotion of social harmony, and nation-building initiatives in the region.
Several important welfare-related issues were also discussed during the interaction, including enhancement of Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) facilities and wider recognition and acceptance of Ex-Servicemen Identity Cards for various services and benefits.
The Ex-Servicemen appreciated the efforts of the Shakti Vijay Brigade in consistently supporting veterans, Veer Naris, and their families through various welfare initiatives and outreach programmes. They expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the Army for maintaining close coordination and extending assistance whenever required.
The event concluded on a positive note with a renewed commitment towards strengthening cooperation between the Army and the veteran community in Karnah.
