Kupwara, January 26 : In a spirited initiative aligned with the 77th Republic Day celebrations, the Indian Army spearheaded an extensive outreach and door-to-door campaign to promote a drug-free Kupwara district.
Cadets from the National Cadet Corps (NCC), under the guidance of Army personnel, fanned out across the region, engaging communities with awareness sessions, distribution of educational materials, and personal interactions to highlight the perils of drug abuse.
This proactive effort underscores the Army’s commitment to youth empowerment and national security by fostering a healthy, resilient future for the region’s young population.
The campaign, which commenced in Kupwara, is set to expand across entire North Kashmir, aiming to eradicate drug use through sustained community involvement and collaboration with local authorities. By focusing on prevention and rehabilitation, the initiative seeks to steer youth towards positive pursuits like education, sports, and skill development, ensuring a brighter, drug-free tomorrow.
The Indian Army calls upon all stakeholders to join hands in this noble cause, reinforcing the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ on this historic Republic Day.
