Kupwara : A. K. Singh, IAS, Principal Secretary to GoI (PWD (R&B) & Mining), accompanied by his wife & senior Army officers, visited #Karnah today. Beginning at TCCP Zero Line, he witnessed the unique geography of the region & commended the steadfast dedication of our soldiers along the Kishanganga. At Azmat-e-Hind, under the 104-ft Tricolour, he paid homage to the valour & sacrifice of the Armed Forces, expressing deep pride in India’s rich military legacy. His visit to the Sharda Devi Temple & Gurudwara, located on land gifted by the Muslim community, was a moving testament to the syncretic culture & secular spirit that defines our nation. At the Titwal Cultural Development Centre, he interacted with young girls & women undergoing skill development, lauding the Army’s initiatives in education, empowerment & community welfare. Linking the visit with the proposed Sadhna Tunnel & other strategic infrastructure projects, he expressed happiness at the progress underway & reaffirmed the Govt’s commitment to strengthening connectivity, development & integration in border areas
