Kupwara, May 29: In its continued commitment to fostering community engagement and responsive policing, Kupwara Police organized ‘Thana Diwas’ at multiple locations across the district, including Police Station Trehgam, Police Post Kalaroose, and Police station Lalpora.The event at Police Station Trehgam was held under the chairmanship of Additional Superintendent of Police Kupwara, Shri Javed (JKPS).
The program was also attended by SHO Trehgam Dysp (p) Shivek Sharma.The program witnessed active participation from local residents, including members of civil society, shopkeepers, retired officers, and youth.Participants raised various community-related concerns, and the officers assured them that the issues would be taken up with the relevant departments for appropriate redressal.
The event emphasized the importance of public-police cooperation in enhancing the overall security and well-being of the area.At Police Post Kalaroose, the event was chaired by DySP Headquarters Kupwara, Shri Mohd Rafee Rather (JKPS). An open interaction was held with local residents, who voiced concerns related to policing, infrastructure development, and civic amenities.
Officers assured the participants of coordination with the concerned civil administration for resolution.
