Srinagar, May 15:Jammu & Kashmir recorded a strong performance in the CBSE Class 10 examinations for the academic year 2024–25, with the region achieving an overall pass percentage of 90.76%, according to data released by the CBSE Regional Office in Chandigarh. The Class 12 results, however, reflected a more modest outcome, with a pass rate of 51.36%.A total of 58,803 students appeared for the Class 10 exams across the Union Territory, of which 53,344 successfully cleared them. Girls slightly outperformed boys, posting a pass percentage of 91.10% compared to 90.52% among boys. Among the pass-outs, 27,155 were girls and 26,189 were boys.In contrast, the Class 12 results were less encouraging. Out of 12,267 candidates who sat for the senior secondary exams, only 6,302 passed. Girls again led with a pass percentage of 52.67%, while boys recorded 50.16%.The board examinations this year were conducted under strict surveillance, including complete CCTV coverage and heightened security protocols, to ensure fairness and transparency throughout the process.Educationists in the region have lauded the Class 10 performance as a reflection of growing academic standards and student dedication.
